Locanda Barbarigo is a shining example of Venetian hospitality in the heart of the old town center of Venice, a typical inn near the Santa Maria del Giglio landing, one of the stops for the vaporetti (water buses) that run along the Grand Canal to the Rialto, San Marco, the train station and Piazzale Roma.
Within a short stroll from the inn, you will find the palazzi, museums and attractions of Venice along with shopping for designer labels in Calle Larga XXII Marzo, the bridge of the Accademia and the splendid Teatro La Fenice.
When you choose Locanda Barbarigo, you will enjoy peace and tranquility in a narrow Venetian street far from the tourist hustle and bustle, a timeless and incredibly charming corner of Venice, just 5 minutes from the extraordinary Saint Mark's Square.
All it takes is a few moments seated at the tables of the historic cafés of Saint Mark's Square to fall in love with its centuries-old charm, its extraordinary basilica and its tall bell tower that will reward you with a thrilling view of Venice.
Alongside the basilica, there is the Doge's Palace, the ancient seat of the powerful government of the Most Serene Republic that, behind its refined Gothic profile, hides the marvelous rooms frescoed by Tintoretto, Veronese and Palma il Giovane, the prisons called the Piombi, the Scala dei Giganti (Staircase of the Giants) and Scala d’Oro (Golden Staircase). Don't miss it!
Locanda Barbarigo's strategic location makes it extremely convenient to take public transportation to the Lido (the site of the Venice Film Festival), the Gardens (Venice Art Biennale) and the Palazzo Vendramin Casino.
